Crosslinked PVC

Features

Kaneka's crosslinked PVC is a special PVC developed to give a matte finish to films and electric wires, and to prevent blocking of sheeting.
It can be molded using a variety of methods including calendar molding, injection molding and extrusion molding, and surface properties can be controlled under a wide range of processing conditions.
It can be used as a base resin or as an additive.

Applications

It is capable of producing a high-class matte finish. It is also capable of creating a rough finish on the surface.
  Matte electric wires and cables
  Matte sheeting and films
Can also be used to prevent blocking of films and sheeting

Advantages of Crosslinked PVC

  1. Compared to other methods of creating a matte finish, this method resists the return of gloss during secondary molding.
  2. Compared to other methods of creating a matte finish, the surface is resistant to whitening by scratching.

Detailed Data

Mechanism of reduced surface gloss by the irregular reflection of light/ The irregular reflection of light is caused by modifying the surface of film or sheets, making it possible to treat the surface in a variety of ways, such as a mat treatment to give (finished) products an air/a sense of high quality.
